The SMADAIT (Mixed Federation for Planning and Development of the International TOURS Val de Loire Airport) was set up in 2009 between:
- The Centre Val de Loire Region
- The Indre-et-Loire Department
- The Tours Urban Community, renamed the Val de Loire Metropolitan Area 2 years ago
- The Touraine Chamber of Commerce
