Environmental targets 2019

Since 2014, Tours Val de Loire Airport has been committed to a real sustainable development policy aiming to keep the impact of its activities on the environment under control. This policy is implemented through a multi-site environmental management system with ISO 14001 certification for EDEIS headquarters in Ivry sur Seine and Tarbes Lourdes Pyrenees Airport.

5. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions (especially CO2)
Maintaining the Airport Carbon Accreditation

The success of these goals is measured using indicators, and environmental performance is assessed each year in order to set new goals for the following year.

Longer term goals, 2019-2022, have also been drawn up to set an ambitious aim for controlling the airport's environmental impact, particularly in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

ISO 14001 certification

Keeping the impact of the airport's activities on the environment under control is part of the ISO 14 001 certification process, issued by an authorised body. This certification, shared between Tarbes Airport, Tours Airport and EDEIS headquarters, was issued in May 2015, following an initial audit. It is renewed every 3 years and confirmed after annual follow-up audits.

Airport Carbon Accreditation

This first level of accreditation, called "mapping", helped Tours Val de Loire Airport to take stock of its CO2 emissions for 2016, 2017 and 2018. The second level of accreditation will then result in a concrete action plan for gradually reducing our CO2 emissions.
